Real Weddings: Super Kitsch in Pink with Added Glitter! (part 1)

the bride and groom

pink and kitschwedding cake and dessert tableSuper kitsch, in pink with added glitter: I was made for this wedding!

How lucky am I that Leanne and Martin chose me .  The minute we first spoke I knew I loved them both.

It was kitsch with a CAPITAL K !

Everything was handmade, pink, glittery and TOTALLY AWESOME

under the marquee for the wedding breakfastI’d never heard of the venue before but I hope to be hearing of it and visiting it again.  It was perfect and magical.  Romantic, superbly kitted out with the most fabulous and well appointed grooms and brides prep rooms with loads of home comforts.  It was totally and absolutely LUSH.  And Beth, the wedding coordinator was just lovely and calmly kept everything under control, Gellifawr Woodland Retreat

our brideLeanne, obviously a queen amongst organisers had thought of absolutely everything.

I took hubby and we planned a mini break in Pembrokeshire around it as the couple had invited us to join the party.

Another perfect day.  Another truly heartfelt, totally authentic couple being totally and absolutely true to themselves.

a beautiful day for an outdoor weddingFun, relaxed, totally chilled and so much laughter.  Loads of kids and plenty for them to do with lawn games, their own seating for the wedding breakfast complete with activity books and animal masks, a playground and a sweet trolley to die for  (or at least sneak a few M&Ms from when the kids weren’t looking!).

sky dancer storm on stilts and the groomIt was absolutely fabulous to see Justina and Sam again (Sky Dancer Storm).  I’d mentioned Justina to Leanne and she’d booked her for some stilt work, acrobatics and fire eating.  You would not believe the headdress and bouquets!  You have to check earrings by Fizz Goes Popout Wild Posies, Oh My God!  And all the menus, acrylic décor and Leanne’s Mrs Jones earring, by her friend and bridesmaid, Lizzie of  the unbelievably fabulous, Fizz Goes Pop

We left about 10pm .  I’m sure the celebrations went on into the wee small hours, if not, all night.

I absolutely cannot wait to see the professional photos and video from Katy and crew of The Alt Wedding Co.  Then I can write part 2 !
