What a day I had with Elen & Matthew at their super relaxed, fun in the sun wedding. I’d have loved to stay and enjoyed the atmosphere, I was made very welcome.
I love, love, love a laid back, wedding, where the priority is to chill out , have fun and share joy. I love Elen and Matthew, for their ‘go with the flow’ total lack of pretentiousness and absolutely relaxed approach to organising, and enjoying their day. The priority was music. And family. And ensuring that everyone was part of every moment, including the kids and the four-legged members too.
The day was not just about fun, it was about sustainability. Their were the most delicious vegan sushi canapes to keep hunger at bay after the ceremony and before the wedding breakfast. they were scrummy
The florals were magnificent, Created by two friends @harriet_de_fynemere and @tymhorau_dyfi, with two different florist businesses using locally sourced flowers and foraged greenery
The venue for Elen and Matthews wedding was stunning, The Old Workhouse in Llanffylin, the bride laughed her way in , singing and rallying the crowd, as live music played. Matthew was super relaxed , waiting with me at the flower arch along with their son, Wynn.
It was, quite perfect.
And then there were the classic cars. The BMW had been bought by Matthew to propose in simply because the numberplate contained Elens initials. But classic vehicles, play an important part in their lives and were brought into their special day, from how they arrived to them being in the photos and on show for all to enjoy. I feel bad now that I didn’t turn up in Ffloyd, everyone would have loved having her there (she was being prepped for Scotland but thats another story for another day)
