Today I was delighted to receive an email from Marmaduke, the kitten we acquired for my parents:
This is Marmaduke telling you what I have been doing. For a while now my human mum has been taking me out on a harness to the back and front gardens. I loved being outside so now I sit at the back door and cry to be let out. My human mam and dad now let me out but under their supervision so I do not jump over the fence. They tell me I will be allowed out on my own after my operation which will be 16th May. Not looking forward to that as I can not eat after 9pm and only have water till they get up. They have also told me that they are going to have a cat flap fitted one they put my microchip number in so only me can use it.
They now give me cats milk once a day. I love it and drink that normally. When I have water I splash it all over and lick my wet paw.
Of course, I replied. It’s great having a new penpal.
What a clever cat you are! I’ve seen pictures of you at the computer but you sure do learn fast. Your typing skills are marvellous!
I’d love to see photos of you out and about in your harness. I think dad should take you on his strolls to the local shop, it would be good for both of you and get you both meeting and chatting to lots of people.
Have you seen off that other cat yet? He really wants your cosy spot on the top of the chairs.
Try not to think much about the op, you’ll be asleep and maybe feel groggy for a couple of days but no long term negative affects (that you’ll be aware of anyway 😉 )
With regards the cat milk, what a spoilt little kitty you are. Tell mummy to look on the overpriced little plastic bottles and she will see that cat milk is simply goats milk which is available much cheaper in litre cartons. Marketeers think cat owners are suckers xxxx
Lovely to hear from you. Much love to mum and dad too, perhaps send a picture of them next time, its been a while
