As an end-of-life doula, I describe my role as providing support, advocacy and guidance to individuals  (and their families) as they navigate the last stages of their (or their loved ones) life, by helping to prepare for death, live well through dying, and facilitating an authentic and supported farewell.

An End of Life Doula is a trained (non-medical) care giver, supporting a person physically, emotionally, spiritually and practically. Our non-medical role is to preserve the quality of wellbeing, sense of identity and self-worth from the moment we are called upon.

I have been trained and continue to training with Living Well Dying Well, the sister company of End of Life Doula UK, to whom I am a member.  As a member I agree to adhere to their Code of Practice and am part of a supportive and empathetic peer mentoring group
